Matt Foy
Matt Foy was born on May 18, 1983 in Oakville, Ontario. He was acquired by the Minnesota Wild through the 2002 NHL Entry Draft as their sixth-round selection. Matt Foy has played amateur hockey in the OPJHL, OHL and AHL. His most extensive amateur season came with Ottawa of the OHL, where he played 68 games and accumulated 132 points with a plus-47 ice ratio. Foy spent part of the 2005-06 and 2006-07 seasons up with the Wild, appearing in 28 games. He has been an effective player with the Houston Aeros of the AHL, scoring 90 points in the last two season. Matt Foy has appeared in 17 games for the Wild through 39 games. Foy has two goals, two assists and 22 penalties in minutes.
