Nick Schultz
Nick Schultz was born on August 25, 1982 in Strasbourg, Saskatchewan. He was acquired by the Minnesota Wild in the second round of the 2000 NHL Entry Draft. Nick Schultz played three seasons with Prince Albert of the WHL from 1998-01. In 189 games he scored 114 points on 33 goals and 81 assists. His first action with the Minnesota Wild came in 2001-02, when he played in 52 games and scored 10 points. Schultz also had a solid season for the Minnesota Wild in 2003-04, when he played 79 games and tallied 16 points. The Wild defenseman became the first player at his position on the Wild to appear in all 82 games during his fifth season with the team. He is also only one of four Wild players to appear in all 82 games. Nick Schultz has been named team captain for the month of January 2008 for his leadership. Through 39 games, Schultz has six points and 23 penalties in minutes. Nick Schultz is married to his wife Jessica and they reside in Calgary, Alberta in the offseason. Schultz has a cousin, Jesse, who plays for the Atlanta Thrashers. Schultz enjoys playing golf and tennis in his spare time. He loves Minnesota because of the rabid Wild fans.
